Flagger provides GitOps based progressive delivery such as Canary releases. Many users have touted how it has helped them accelerate their Kubernetes journey as it helps them experiment and fail with much lower risks. Flagger reduces the blast radius of a potential disaster due to a new release. It is part of the CNCF graduated project, Flux, and it has adopted the Gateway API for increased functionality and benefits for end users. This talk will cover relevant basics of GitOps, how Flagger delivers Progressive Delivery, and the specific benefits of Gateway API with Flagger. It’ll also explore the various possible deployment strategies possible with Gateway API.
